Does anyone have a Kent tooling long backplate? Is it good quality?

I'm looking at the 460mm X 305mm one. Price isn't to bad depending on how much it costs to ship to the states. I have a dss long pattern already but I use it for single tank with the wieght plates bolted on. I want another one to set up as a doubles rig.

Never heard of Kent Tooling ever making garbage, and wouldn't believer it if somebody told me either.
Buy the plate, have "Sporting Goods, made in GB" on the customs declaration and plan on shipping cost of a 5Kg package from England to the USA.

I've seen a couple of Kent Tooling backplates on dive boats and they look like quality machining, just as I'd expect. Kent Tooling reels are pretty much the standard in the UK because they are bullet proof.

Two things are known to survive a nuclear war; a cockroach and a KT Reel.

I don't think you'll be disappointed.
