Knighthawk BCD with 8" Diameter Tank (AL100) strap not long enough?

When I make the adjustment the velcro BARELY reaches the other velcro (maybe 1 inch contact with only the end piece, NONE of the velcro PAST the end tab makes contact.... certainly seems like it is not right ?

Looking at the manual it appears to be routed correctly.....

Which side of the bc should the strap be on (inflator side, or other side)

Thank You....

I use 108's with my Knighthawk without any problem, buckle is the right side with mine

Yes, the 100 cuft tanks are quite large in diameter but the Knighthawk is designed to fit these as well as other diameters. The fact that you only have +/- an inch of velcro left on the adjustment does not affect the "holding strength" of the cam system. The velcro merely keeps the strapping 'streamline'; all of the holding power is in the cinching of the D-ring and cam buckle.

The tank retention cam system comes with the velcro on the inflator side and the cam on the other side (right) however it can be installed and used reversed if so desired.
