i just got back from these two islands in the gulf of thailand. The diving off koh tao was incredible. the water was so clear and the coral was very colorful. i dived and snorkelled. the best diving was off ao leuk the coral was incredibly colorful, i saw many large fish, black tip sharks and rays. mango bay and japanese gardens was also great. I didnt dive in koh phangan, i did snorkel on the reef off haad salad. i was very impressed as i was told the reef was barren. it was very colorful and healthy and there were plenty of fish to see. another nice spot was koh ma off the neighbouring beach. the coral around the island was very beautiful healthy and colorful. I cant wait to go again next year.
