There is only one exclusive resort on the island, the other occupants are Malaysian Navy.
Alternative is the LOB.
 
Yeah. One resort and no others even remotely nearby. It's either that or find a lob that has it on its itinerary.

I loved it when I went, warts and all. Literally back rolled off the boat on my first dive on the skipper's signal and landed on top of a manta. Was pretty epic. That being said, we were mid dive when we heard an illegal fishing boat drop dynamite less than half a mile away.
 
Over the past five years or so, the area has changed. Mostly from overfishing and dynamite fishing. Even the far north reefs such as Dallas reef were suffering. These northern sites are in the disputed area of the Spratly Islands. Many LoBs have abandoned going to the Layang Layang and nearby dive sites.
