I just got a new job near Pittsburgh. I won't start work there for a few weeks but I'm already looking for dive sites. Living in the Michigan Tri-Cities has left me jaded. So much great diving within a few hours drive. Now I'll be a bit more inland. Any recommendation for local quarries or lakes? Maybe some of your favorite wrecks for a recreational diver in Lake Erie? Any info would be useful.

Welcome to the 'burgh! Here is a website that has numerous sites near the Pittsburgh area (mainly quarries).

Local Diving

I've heard good things about an area called Dutch Springs in the eastern part of the state (about a 5 hour drive). I plan on visiting there this summer.

Let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Already searched and found that page shortly after I accepted the position but thank you :)

I don't have an apartment yet but I'm guessing about 2.5 hrs to Erie. So yeah I plan on many trips up there for dive charters :)
