Haven't used the Hoya IR filter since I got back from the PI so made a trip to SF to visit Golden Gate Park.

Jam, very cool stuff. Midwest, interesting effects with the infrared filter. Kristin, I like the textures on your sand shots. The ripples on the beach form a nifty pattern. (I guess they're not just good for underwater navigation!)

Gio, I love those IR shots of yorus!
Jon, that's an awesome job at conversion, reminds me of 300.

Picked up my B&W MRC 72mm CPL today, finally.......
Some shots from the soapbox rally on Sunday.
Red bull, guys flying down hills in soapboxes, too fun.

I did a lot of panning shots and didn't realise how hard it was until then.
Next year I'll return with a monopod and maybe a differnt lense.

All shot with the Sigma 17-70mm...

Praise Jesus!!

That seems to be the impression that the co-driver/navigator was giving as they sped down the hill.
Or maybe it was "Someone save me?"

Quack, Quack

I never could understand the idea behind this soapbox design......

Looking south on the surf beach. Everything north is beautiful, too soft sand. Front came in yesterday so we finally had some clouds instead of a boring all blue sky and it made the ocean all funky, too. Not much surfing happening as it was slop, but I still had a nice ramble in the dunes and along the shore, despite the WIND!

This entry was actually put together by a fellow competitor of mine just for fun. I think that is one of his mechanics at the wheel. It sports the same colour sceme (and sponsors logos) as his rally car.

Jam, I hope you'll do the honour of photographing me in action this year. We have our first event on dirt this weekend and though I have not been competing regularly, I do plan on getting up to speed for the big rally in December.
The action this week is a little out of the way (Frome), so I will let you know when we are running closer to town.
Plus, I want you to catch me when I have shaken off all of this rust and kicking some butt. :D
