I took these shots today in Kona and wondered what they are.

I think this is a Stocky Hawkfish but it looks a little different.

And this school, At first I thought Barracuda family but now I don't know.

Alcina's right, as always. I used to go to Hawaii all the time. Hoover's book calls the first fish a "shortbodied blenny" and lists "leopard blenny" as an alternative name. This species is very large in size for a blenny. I think the barracudas are Heller's barracuda.
 
Exallias brevis, Leopard blenny
and
Sphyraena helleri, Heller's barracuda
 
That's one of the things that a taxonomist is good for.
 
I call the first one Spot,

the skinny one's I'm going to name after George Foreman's boys, George1, George2, George3...:D
