Well it didn't help that right before we did the budda hover I had a problem with the weight belt removal and replace. I took the belt off and held the buckle with my left hand and let the right side drop which allowed the weights to slide right off!

As I was trying to gather them up the instructor came over and through them into the pockets of my BCD.

It was right after that we had to do the budda hover!

Looks like our first dive tomorrow is a buoyancy check, following the instructor around and practice buoyancy. So hopefully that will give me time to get it set. We will have a wet suit on for the OW that we didn't have in the pool so I guess I'll need more weight then I used for the pool work.

Well...after all that and guess what. No budda hover! We had to hover horizontally (or we could have been head up) at 15 ft for 3 minutes. This was to simulate a safety stop and cover our hovering requirement.
