hi everyone
recently passed my ow course and have been hiring my gear so far. i'm now thinking about buying my own gear. can anyboby give me some tips on what to look for and what not to do/buy i just don't want to pay out good money then find out six months done the line the gear i purchased is not right for me.

The questions you're asking are probably some of the most common questions asked on the board and I asked them myself when I first joined. After seeing so many people ask the same questions and seeing so many get what I felt were some very good answers and some were frustrating answers, I put a lot of thought into writing the attached thread. If it does not help, sorry, if it does, great.
