Well, it has appealed to me; in terms of a lower end DSLR that I can afford. It will be interesting to see if Sony has the marketing might to make this Camera successful.

It'll definitely be on my list of possibles when I upgrade.

Oh my... Yes it is! I didn't realize that at first. Ritz Camera has it for US$999.

I think I would still fork over 30% more for the EOS D30.
