Welcome to Venice! Drop on in at our dive facility and we will help you with connections for dives and spots. There is also an active club in town which you can hook up with. We are located at Fisherman's Wharf Venice at the Hatchett Creek Drawbridge on Business 41 just north of Venice Avenue. Look for our dive flag on the west side of the bridge. Megalodon Charters are here as well and are taking divers out to the fossil beds on a daily basis.

welcome Justin

I have alot of friends who live up in Sarasota its a great place to live.
I reccomend you check out Siesta Key Beach its one of the nicest beachest in the world, then you can hit Siesta Key Oyster(skop) Bar for lunch. You can do a search to find all kinds of info on diving around here and read past dive reports under that topic. You picked a great time to be here water is warm 80 and in winter it get down in the 50's
Ask away any questions there is a wealth of knowledge on here to help you find info

welcome see you out there

We go out fossil diving everyday, weather permitting and would love to have you join us for a dive!

Check out our website at www.megalodoncharters.com for more information on our charters.
Attached is a picture of some of the teeth found off our boat, the Hammerhead!

If what you're looking for is a dive buddy to show you the ropes, without charging you. I and several others in the area would be happy to dive with you. I didn't know scubaboard had so commercial<sigh>.There are several good commercial dive ops, but they are not necessary to find fossils!

Welcome Justin, I'm with Mike aka Sharkwatcher. I'll dive with you anytime to show you some good spots. Do you have your own spear gun? We can also do that as well. The Venice Beach Bash in June would be a great way to meet some awesome dive buddies. Hope to see you there.

Justin,

I'm a little late responding sorry. My wife surprised me with a cruise for my 50th birthday. I wasn't back in time. Besides I was diving at Stuart's Cove in the Bahamas at that time.
