Wow, has this thread taken on a life of it's own or what?
It's been very insightful to read and keep up with, that's for sure.
I still haven't decided on steel tanks, so for now I'm continuing to dive my AL80's.
Due to all that goofy powerlifting/bodybuilding I do, I'm even more negatively buoyant than I was when I originally posted this, haha! I'm sitting at about 6' 247lbs, in fresh water no weight needed with an AL80 in a 3mm, 5mm boots and 3mm gloves. Even with 500psi in the tank I still sink like a brick.
Curse? Blessing? I dunno!
