So I just got a used vtx as my first dive computer and before anyone asks yes I know about the terrible battery and dim screen. I got the thing for 100$, the features and price outweigh the problems in my opinion. I figure if I get 4 chargeable cr2s I can just swap it out and that will save me on constantly needing to buy batteries. but from what I've seen most of the good chargeable cr2 batteries are 3.7v and the manual says 3v. so dose anyone know if the vtx regulates voltage and can use 3.7v safely.

Most CR2s I've seen are rated at 3V, even the rechargeable ones. And all batteries when fully charged will typically have more voltage than they are rated. I couldn't guarantee the VTX will not explode if you put 3.7 volts into it but I would think it would be fine.
