Been certified for a long time but new to this forum. Don't have a lot of time to be very active on any forum but when I do get a chance I like to read and talk about diving and I think this will be a good place for it.

howdy and welcome form southeast florida....

Welcome from Nova Scotia. My older brother lives in Escondido--he is an "old swimmer", who used to dive in the '60s with the old Mike Nelson--type setup.

Welcome. I was born in La Mesa. How come you only have 25-49 dives? Are you an "old" diver or an "old diver?"

I got into diving in 1983 and a few years later I was totally committed to racing motorcycle in the Desert and diving was left behind. Know I have started doing it again and loving it more than before. I am leaving Playa Del Carmen tomorrow for the next 9 days. I will be doing my best to get the number of dives up. I am in Lakeside.

Playa is good. Lots of cool stuff in not-very-deep water and some short boat rides. Who are you diving with?

If you haven't already you might want to read the thread: Travel Warning for MX. Playa, Cancun, and Riviera Maya are included.

Don't forget that you can easily hop on the ferry and dive Cozumel too!
