Why would you want to put a STA on a soft pack, IMHO that is gonna be uncomfortable. It is made to adapt a single tank to a BP which is made for doubles.

I dive with a STA on a soft pack (IQ pack) without a back plate and its plenty comfy. It rides well and I don't have any probs with it.

Hmm,
While discussing the OMS IQ harness option for my wives rig I am going to assemble with the OMS salesman, I was shocked to hear him tell me that he recently went back to a traditional 1-piece harness instead of the IQ because he felt the IQ harness sat too far away from his back to effectively reach his valves on his tanks.

Wow, I was shocked to hear an OMS salemen say this!

Could it be that the old Halycon-style 1-piece harness is THAT good?

Another point for the DIR system...
