It's not punishment. Only bewilderment over how this thread has unfolded.

Had the information been made public from the beginning, I would not have needed to reinvent the wheel myself.

Anyways, no big deal. I'm glad the problem got fixed and hopefully SeaLife will add this information to their user manual in the future.

What Marshall_d said to do does not work on my housing as there's no groves or threading on the flash link or the DC800/1200 housings

kh~ and I were able to remove our flash links without breaking or scratching a thing

thanks so much for posting it! I am upgrading from my DL1200 to a DL1400 and had no idea who to take the light assembly off of one to put on the other.
