I was looking at the picture posted by simonbeans. A reg powder coated yellow, and it looked (not sure) as the yoke was as well.

What are the pro and cons of doing this? Prices?

I know that I will have one of my "da"s re-chromed, which is a good chunk of change, but the other one, possible to do something else?

Thoughts??

thanks- forgive me if there is a thread discussing this, did not find after search.

The powder coat will chip where the band clamp engages, it will also potentially add thickness which may also effect clamping. It looks good and works good if done well, I prefer chrome. YRMV.

The powdercoating cost me about $120.00 and it does chip if not careful. I had it coated over the raw material. If I do another one, I probably would have it nickel plated if possible before powdercoating. Here is a pic of it.

That is one sweet regulator! I like the yellow on black, very nice.
