I like that the Perdix has double O-rings on the battery compartment “cap”. However, the transmitter only has 1 O-ring on the battery compartment. I just got my Perdix last fall and am wondering how often these O-rings should be changed. I’m thinking 1x every year. Any experience or thoughts?

I replace mine annually when I replace the battery.

I wonder why Shearwater didn't include a spare or two in the box.
I mean they did include a pair for the unit battery - why not the transmitter?

I'm only asking because its difficult if not near impossible to find shearwater-grade o-rings here.

"shearwater grade o-rings?" that's a new one.

Where have you seen a specification of an -016, please? That is a much thinner oring, and I would be surprised if it sealed reliably. The -112 is what I use.
