Hi Erik,

In general, I don't recommend the use of a QD on your primary supply hose. It's an additional point of possible failure that I (personally) don't consider worth the benefit. I've seen many use the QD fittings in conjunction with swivels and this IMHO is just asking for trouble. I recommend the use of just the standard hose, it only takes a few seconds to unscrew the fitting and is the safest and most secure attachment.

I was thinks about the same things. I wanted to look at designs, if there were any, before I tried one. It would really blow, no pun intended, if you had a snag and it released. After brain storming this I will probably opt out. Working out of a Zodiac and BW Guardian I have to take all my gear off to re-board. Very much a pain but better than blowing a hose fitting at depth.
