A short video illustrating the RAID Advanced Wreck course. This course was held in Subic Bay, Philippines during March 2018.
The RAID Advanced Wreck course is a recreational wreck penetration course, the prerequisite is just AOW diver (and aged 15+). Training can be conducted using sidemount (if qualified), backmount doubles (training can be added as a supplement) or a single tank + pony.
I run this course with 6 training dives (minimum is 4) covering team and guideline skills, contingency protocols and actual wreck penetrations. These are preceded by confined water training that focuses on establishing or refining the fundamental diving skills necessary for overhead environment diving. It typically takes a student 4-5 days to reach qualification standard.
RAID also offer a Basic Wreck course, comprising of two non-penetration dives that serves as an introduction to diving on wrecks (no-penetration). A technical-level, full-penetration course is currently being developed.
