Is is possible to get one of your own posts deleted?

Depends.

First of all, if it's a recent post, you have the ability to edit it yourself for 24 hours. People will sometimes do that and change their post to ....., edited, removed, nevermind, etc.

If it's been longer than that it has to be done by a mod. If it's been quoted or become an integral part of a conversation, it's not likely without a pretty good reason. If it's a single stand alone post, it may or may not be deleted, depending on the circumstances. The best way to find out is to report the post in question with a detailed explanation why you feel it should be deleted and one of the mods will take a look at it.

Which post do you want removed? I'll complain it is offensive.

Cave Diver's post is the way to deal with it.

Much more civil to post "....." (5 character min. post) than to post a TOS violation. Of course, the TOS violation will get your post removed. And maybe even win you a vacation. :D
