I saw that on CNN at the gym lunch time. The most bizzarre thing I saw was a couple of professors (they looked too old even for perenial students) running from the scene and one was running with a container of coffee. The only thing I could think of was that he must have spent a lot of money for a double mocha latte or something like that and couldn't bear the thought of leaving it behind.

Tim Horton's....it's a Canadian thing.

My daughter attends Concordia just a few blocks down the street. She was supposed to be meeting a friend for lunch across the street at the point where the shooting started. All I can say is she has a pair of relieved parents that she did not make it to lunch on time. She is freaked because it happened so close and her roommate is a friend of one of the victimes.

The cycle of madness continues.

this sucks...i hate to hear about this kind of things...My prayers are with the family and friends of the victims.

yea, I lived 2 blocks away from the incident on Chomeday/De Maisonneuve during my time in Montreal. Waited for the 144 bus infront of Dawson 6x a week, did a lot of shopping at alexis nihon, cried when le forum was made into a movie theatre.

Shootings occasionally happened around the area - most of them organized crimed related - but I'd never dream of a renegade shooter in Dawson. This is sad news indeed.
