Hello --

I am going to Eilat this summer to take my PADI Divemaster certification and was wondering if anyone could tell me about the following four dive centers, and your opinions of them:

Lucky Divers: http://www.luckydivers.com/

Nemo Divers: http://www.nemodivers.co.il/

Aqua-Sport: http://www.aqua-sport.com/

Meduza: http://meduza.co.il/

I would really appreciate any advice you can provide; good/bad experiences, instructor knowledge, cleanliness, safety, etc.

Cheers!

I just started my divemaster with Lucky Divers. So far I really like them. It's a small operation, so a very personal feel. Also, they are very flexible with me on the schedule. They have several instructors that speak a few different languages. I have been working with Serge. He is a PADI Course Director, and has been very thorough with my training so far.

The only problem I had was finding them. They don't really have a shop, but rather operate out of a villa behind the Adi hotel.

I can't comment on any of the other operations, but I can highly recommend Lucky Divers.

I appreciate you taking that time to write to me.

In my opinion all of the centers are good. I was in Eilat in March and did some diving with Aquasport and Red Sea Sports Club. Aquasport also has an operation in Taba. Red Sea Sports Club organizes trips to Aqaba.

The funny thing is that I stayed at the Adi Hotel. If only I had known that Lucky is right behind it!

I was also staying at the Adi, and even when I was on the phone with them I was having trouble finding their place. Once I finally realized all I had to do was drive up and over the sidewalk, it was no problem.
