ScubaPro 109, 156 or Mark X Dual Balanced?

I've just acquired a really nice ScubaPro 2nd stage. I know it's at least a 156 but most all of this model I've seen have a chrome face plate and "Balanced Adjustable" printed on them. The "Mark X Dual Balanced" version, that I've read was only available in Europe, has a matte finish on the face plate and a chrome body. This one I've just purchased has a chrome body and a matte face plate that has "Balanced Adjustable" on it and I've never seen one of this flavor so please enlighten me on what I might have exactly. I've attached a couple of pic's for clarity. Please let me know what you think.....

Actually, Aqualung didn't improve the design. They "modified" to keep someone from dying. I guess it depends upon perspective but that sounds like an improvement to me :cheers:. James

At the bottom of your post is a report button, explain what you need to have done, like move, delete, or combine threads as well as complain about posts that violate TOS, and a Mod will look at the request and do the right thing.

Well I've come up with a couple of more questions regarding the 109/15X regulators. I've recently purchased another 109/15X Balanced-Adjustable only this time with a polished chrome face. This one has a different style of retainer clip for the adjustment knob/stem assembly. It doesn't wrap around the housing, it has a slot machined into the housing that the clip slides into and the clip is actually different. It also has a different black diaphragm cover as it has 8 holes instead of 5. Also the satin faced regulators black rubber diaphragm cover has a protruding circular ridge in the center around the "S" medallion plate. I haven't been able to find anything on the changed components in all my literature which is from Brian (God rest His Soul) @ Vintage Double hose. I've attached pics so any assistance will be greatly appreciated..... TIA .... JP
