No, a Rolex mechanical watch will not devalue even after years nor will it become out of date or out of style. Same with various other mechanical dive watches including a variety of mechanical Seiko dive watches. On the other hand, all of the computer integrated watch timers and combo devices regardless of who they are made by are obsolete within a few years. If you want to spend that kind of cash on a watch then get a real watch with a wind up/auto winding spring motor. Such watches last a life time or two. N
