18 years ago I bought a new BC and 2 months later my wife got pregnant. Haven't been diving since. Pulled the BC out of my closet and it still looks brand new. It has always been stored indoors. If the bladder doesn't leak, should I replace it anyway because of it's age?

If it's not leaking, there is no need to replace the bladder. My BC is 18 years old and is still going strong.

Inflate it and leave it overnight. Go from there.

if it is that "classic 18-year ago color scheme", REPLACE IT!!!

:rofl3:

I'm kidding,

maybe....

Since you are asking the question...why not simply replace the bladder for your own peace of mind ?

We don’t even know if a replacement bladder is available. OP didn’t mention which BC he has.

Quite often scuba gear is most unreliable after someone has repaired/serviced it.
