Anybody been on the Le Mahe lately as it seems quite good and comes recommended by quite a few posts??



Looks like the liveaboards in Phuket are quite plentiful. Am having a bit of trouble convincing buddies to go for Le Mahe!! (Have 2 divers with digital cameras, so will need some backup here)

Any infor is much appreciated.

Is Khao Lak near Thap lamu - the Thai Navy base?

I left from Thap lamu last winter on a week liveaboard to Burma and that is many of the dive boats were anchored.

Yep, Khao Lak is just a few clicks North of Thap Lamu. Some liveaboards depart from there (with transfer by minibus from Phuket), some leave from Phuket. If you're booking a liveaboard and staying in Khao Lak, be sure to find out where it sails from.
