i saw on the internet that more people use diy snoot for nice macro pictures. I'm just wondering if it works to make snoot with LED torches instead of strobe?

A long exposure with a bright light will get you a spotlighted picture, but you'll need high iso to use a fast enough shutter to avoid blur. I accomplished this by accident when I forgot to plug in my hot-shoe connector and adjusted the camera for my spotting light.
