Going to Costa Rica next week for a month, won't be doing any diving but might do some snorkeling if it's worth it. So is it worth it? If so where?

Will be in Puerto Viejo, Manuel Antonio, Santa Teresa and Tamarindo, anybody recommend any snorkeling in these areas or nearby if so where specifically?

I just got back from Costa Rica and did quite a bit of snorkeling. Honestly, there aren't a lot of great snorkel spots, but the best Costa Rica snorkeling can be found at either Isla del Cano or at Playa Cru. We snorkeled at about a dozen spots between both coasts and those were by far the best. The Costa Rica snorkeling map at the Snorkeling Dives website was very helpful ( Best Costa Rica Snorkeling Spots ). We were very excited to snorkel at Tamarindo, but the wave action defintely reduced the visibility -- if you can hit it on a super calm day with no rain for days prior, it would probably be pretty good.
