Be aware that the bar game where you have to loop the ring round a hook on the wall is easier at the Beach resort than at Southern Cross.

See, having been involved in one of those "the drunker you get the better I'll sound" nights, I thought it was a hoot. In order to get people going, the staff seems required to participate (DM's excluded). Most are of questionable talent (there was no ear bleeding afterword), so it makes it easier for others to follow. Since most people fly out on Saturday, it was the first chance to really cut loose without worries of missing the morning dives. Besides, the only other bar was the Iguana, and it just seemed like any other bar. Good music, good food, good fun, but no Elvis wannabe's.
