You don't need to buy a specific brand as long as they will mount to your fin and fit. I have a set of Promate springs on my Sherwood Trek fins and they work great. I would recommend painting the silver buckle though if you dive in the ocean because it tends to have barracuda attracted to your feet. They connect to the rubber nub from the original straps and are held in place by 2 roll pins. Here is a picture...
