your first reaction is correct. There is no need for this type of attitude among divers. It is self serving by those wishing to reserve this sport for a few who they consider worthy. I would rather see more people in the water than less.

Harry has posted a good bio of himself on the site. you might want to take particular note of his interests in an equipment manufacturer that begins with Dive and ends with Rite

I think this is a little harsh Doc, if George Irvine can do it and have fans, then sure as hell Harry has the creds to be called worthy. You might not like some of what he says, but he's no newbie and has earned the right to be listened to. No matter how blunt he is about his opinions.
