Suunto Gecko computer download

Techno help please...
I have been assembling some gear and recently bought a Suunto Gecko computer.
I have read posts on this forum where people say they have discovered the means to download dive info from the Gecko into their computer, even though the marketing info on the Gecko says this function isn't available. I have tried to contact a couple of these folks directly, but heard nothing back, so thought I would ask the larger community.
Anyone out there know specifically how to, and what is needed to squeeze this function out of the Gecko?

The best thing to do is search Google for gekko2vyper. This can void your warranty however and the utility writes values to the computer. Use at your own risk. I in no way encourage or discourage the use of this utility, but know others have used it with no problems.
