What type of info are you looking for? I'm not a news goon but I work in TV.

Well I work in production specifically a Director/Technical Director. I was just curious if anyone had ever used their dive training to make a little extra free-lance money for a station.

There was a guy back in Buffalo that every once in a while did a scuba piece or two for the station he worked at, don't know if he made extra money from it. One of my equipment vendors was a skydiver who had some good helmet rigs and he did shoot some freefall stuff now and then.

One of the issues you would run into is that the dive might be considered a commercial dive and then OSHA rules come into play.

BTW, I'm a sports TD myself.

I like to TD more than direct. We got a Sony DVS 9000 (actually the first one Sony installed in a station) 2 years ago. I still love it much better than the Ampex and CDL I was working on.
