If you're a Scuba diver who love to explore the ocean with buddies or you're a Scuba Dive Instructors, this is the torch for you.
🤩

It has a laser to help you share your discoveries or point out items for everyone in your group. Of course, there's the customary extremely bright light beam to brighten up the way underwater!

Stop Spamming ScubaBoard with nothing but product promotions!
They’re not spamming, this is actually OrcaTorch’s forum, and this is part of what it is here for. You can also use these forums, under Dive Gear Manufacturers Forums, to pose product questions to the manufacturers that are on this site. It’s a nice feature on Scubaboard.
By the way, they make some pretty good torches.

True but they made half a dozen posts in the last day, (10% of their total) mostly NOT in the OrcaTorch forum and all advertisements.

I called them out here because I didn't want to sidetrack all the other threads.

Actually, I think it's great that they are present on SB, but I just wish they would shift the tone a little. More info and support, more gaining good will, and less straight up advertisements. I actually was considering buying the D570-GL, I still might.

I definitely should have been less snarky in my comment though.

The light is a bit of a toy. It is confusing somewhat to just turn it on. I think you have to press the button twice, very quickly and firmly, to get the flashlight to turn on. If you press it once the laser will flash on and then off instantly.

to use the laser, yoou must press once and continue to keep the button completely depressed or the laser goes off. It is tiring to have to hold the button down continuously.

If you want the flashlight you press twice quickly and it will come on and stay on and you don't have to hold the button down, But to turn it off, pressing the button will not work, you have to press it twice quickly to get it to shut off. Not a device that is easy or intuitive to use. That's my recollection of it anyway. Seems well built and is a bright flashlight.

The laser is fun to shoot around the neighborhood.

That button interface doesn't sound that bad. Does it have any other characteristics that make it "a bit of a toy." If not, I'm still interested but not ready to pull the trigger.

If that sounds like something you want to use, go for it. I really don't know what other options are out there for a green laser and flashlight. Wanna buy a used one in great condition? I had my fun with it and the neighbors are starting to complain.
