Danny Riordan gave me a relentlessly ribbing about my CT's -- every morning, it was, "Did you forget your skateboard?" We became "Team Skateboard" because of it.

He looked more askance at my Kydex plate :)

They changed?

Apparently so. There's a new tweener size that's now called XXL, while the old big-enough-to-camp-in XXL is now called 2XXL or something.

...that wasn't even a condescending look as much as a "what the hell are those" kinda look.
Kinda like the look you gave me when you saw [-]my err[/-] my sister's pink Al 80 rigged as my stage bottle using glow-in-the-dark chord.

... and who knows ... you just might get your picture in a DUI ad ... :D

This is too good to just leave in the background as a mere link.

Here, isn't it a cute picture

And people think black is the only approved color for DIR.

Just like I know what it means to be a Christian, and I think I know what it means to be DIR.... Just like the different 'flavors' of faith - I'm not going to nitpick which variants are saved and which are not.

In no specific order and off the top of my head....
1. Surround yourself w/ competent divers.
2. Donate the long hose - and don't allow anything to get in the way of making donation possible.
3. Utilize standard gases appropriate for the depth range.
4. Shape the ascent to ease the stress on your body.
5. Situational Awareness.
6. Never stop diving.
7. Take what you need - no more - no less.
8. Use gear and techniques appropriate for the environment.

Interesting list.

Personally...but you got one main point wrong.

Not donate the long hose....donate what you breath

DIR is a set of policies and procedures based on a specific equipment configuration.

Its not rocket science.

Jeff, your right... I stand corrected...
