Uawetec Smartcom air integrated computer display problem

My buddy's Uawatec (?? On spelling) computer has about 600 dives and just started displaying strange numbers. But if he twists the console the numbers display correctly. The computer also beeps at half tank and other correct times. Anyone else have this problem and is it repairable?

Could be that the screen has come loose from the motherboard (for want of a better term). I have Uwatec where something similar happened and it was fixable, but it was not a Smartcom.
