I know, it does, but this one is brilliant! I can totally see it becoming a part of the diving lingo. Consider:
"With 3 foot viz our dive turned into a complete diving suck".
"What started as a great day on the boat quickly became a diving suck when I took a plunge with my air turned off".
"I missed a deco stop and that's when my diving suck began".
