I actually wear track shorts; enough material to preserve your modesty but light enough the bunching really isn't much of an issue.
 
+1 for the O'Neill lycra bike shorts.

Question: Are real Commandos trained to "go commando"? :confused:

When Underarmour first hit the market, I wrote to them about how great their garments are for diving. I suggested they market to divers. I was hoping to get a freebie or even a discount, but I never heard back from them.

Nothing, I always do a commando. When changing on a boat with no changing room or similar facilities then I just cover with a towel if I think any other divers or crew may feel offended or discomfort by me stripping down.
 
Under a wet suit? Why... a thin layer of dilute urine, of course!
