Hi all,

underwater.com.au is Australasia's most popular website for divers, snorkellers and other marine enthusiasts - featuring an extensive directory, regional underwater gallery, 100s of interesting articles on marine critters and dive experiences and much much more.

the underwater card will help you find the best places to go in Australia, Oceania and Asia Pacific and show you how you can: Dive in, Explore and SAVE!

You can use your underwater card just by quoting your card number to participating operators when you book DIRECT. You will see what discount are offered by which operator by looking through the underwater directory

Underwater card holders get up to 20% discount for books, DVDs, dive wear, photographic accessories and much more at the underwater shop. If you are logged in those discounts will be automatically applied.

Currently over 200 dive shops, liveaboards, gear manufacturers and many other businesses are offering great discounts to underwater card holders - and new offers are added all the time.

We currently have these options for your underwater card membership:

A$30 underwater card & FREE BONUS STUFF!! - only pay for shipping

- the very cool Mask Saver Deluxe (worth $26.95)
- or a stylish underwater Tee (worth $29.95)
- or the extremely useful EZbite reshapeable mouthpiece (worth $29.95)

A$30 underwater card only - FREE shipping worldwide

Just visit underwater.com.au and go to the shop - subscriptions

We are doing our best to secure some awesome new card holder MEGA DRAW prizes which are drawn from all active card numbers in June every year - like an 8 day dive holiday in Thailand - check out our prize page for more details.

I've never heard of Austalasia. Is this like the lost continent of Atlantis?

Regarding Australasia ... you do have a point but we didn't like the term Oceania for a number of reasons. One is historical, this website started as being Australia specific and expanded to cover the wider region after we received many requests about information from those places. Second, Oceania actually does not include the South East Asian Countires we cover such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand etc.
Oceania - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The best term would actually be underwater asia pacific - but that seemed a bit long, plus we do not cover China, Japan, Korea etc ..
Asia-Pacific - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So we took the approach of the regional dive magazines - Scuba Diver Australasia, Dive Log Australasia and Sportdiving Australasia.

The countries we cover as part of "Australasia" are:

* Australia
* Indonesia
* Cambodia
* Fiji
* Malaysia
* Micronesia
* Myanmar
* New Caledonia
* New Zealand
* Papua New Guinea
* Philippines
* Polynesia
* Singapore
* Solomon Islands
* Thailand
* Vanuatu
* Vietnam
* East Timor

Sorry for the long winded explanation - but also thanks for asking :)
See you underwater ...
