Hey all you divers! Being retired and to much time on my hands, just invented an Underwater ROV/Spear gun "Stingray". My intention was for the divers who can no longer dive for medical or for other reasons but still want to Spearfish. It is still in development. Should complete the project in a month. Putting it on “Kick Starter” in 2 weeks.
Still need to design the “Control Panel” but should not take but a week. Let me know if anybody is interested. Again Kick Starter in 2 weeks. I will keep you informed.

Really want your thoughts good or bad.

Check it out on my web new site.

P.S. I will have to make a trip down and gets some pic's shooting a fish with this new ROV.

Is this legal in the US? I remember a video of a handgun on a drone that was illegal. Not sure how the DNR would feel about a remotely operated spear gun.

CA fishing regulations:

1.76. Spearfishing. The taking of fish by spear or hand by persons who are in the water and may be using underwater goggles, face plates, breathing tubes, SCUBA or other artificial underwater breathing device.

Let me get this straight. So fishing with hand grenades is out of the question even if I'm in the water at the time???

Well, you can’t call it spearfishing.

Ah, so one must make sure to hang their feet off the boat into the water while piloting the rov.

Add artificial intelligence and you've got the making of a really bad movie and every diver's nightmares...

Seriously, @CuzzA is right. Could be helpful to eliminate invasive species.

and here I am thinking with you being retired and to much time on my hands and all that
at least you should consider introducing a signature model carved by mallet and chisels
from walnut
