Few hundred dives or instructor: bigger ego maybe.
Honed Technical Diver: no ego.

I know what you’re saying but with the guys I’ve met they weren’t arrogant or egotistic. I have heard of a lot of tech divers being egotistic but I think that’s on the decrease.Lol... you haven’t been around a lot of tech divers?
Ego asserts itself in different ways. Most tech divers I know have more ego than an average OW diver... but to your point, that does not mean they are arrogant.
