clay, I thought about just using ranges but bearing is easy to get, I have a decent hand bearing compass. heck, I actually have a really nice sextant too. just turn the sextant on its side and get 1/100's of a minute accuracy. don't think we need that though. the range/bearing pair is a double check.

remember: In theory, practice and theory are the same thing. In practice they rarely are. :)
 
is there any other discussion re: the plan. anyone see any problems with it? perhaps someone could actually try a milk jug test

so, if there are no objections to the plan we need to figure out:
-how many points there are to map = # trips and divers
-who is getting what equipment/supplies
-set a date
 
Well, I've got a GPS receiver, inflatable canoe, laser rangefinder, and a milk jug or two... plus extensive dive gear, of course. :D

Shoulda brought a milk jug with me today when I went... i'll try and remember one next time.
