Im stuck trying to decide what reel to get to tow a dive flag. Ive used the line holders but i really dont like them. What reel would you suggest for towing a dive flag?

Reels are too bulky for me. I just use a spool and clip it off on a d-ring.

If you find something, let me know. Towing a dive flag takes a lot of attention, -unless you can maintain a constant depth. -hate 'em.
I was thinking this one... Highland by XS Scuba Reel

But im unfamiliar with what options a reel should have to tow a dive flag. ( or at least make it less of a hassle)

How deep are you diving?

I use this......

Manta Senior (SR) Reel

I bought it during the buy all the gear phase of being newly certified.....but it works great for a dive flag, you let it click down as descend, once down if you let go it stays locked at depth........plus it is easy to reel up as you ascend since the spool is fairly large.....

One a recent deep drift (~90 ft) in the river we found a large old anchor, have 300ft of line I just looped the reel under the anchor clipped the brass clip to the line and rode the line up to surface, the next dive team just reversed the process so they could find the anchor as well.......

I would avoid those all plastic ones, or ones with fancy reeling systems.. That reel looks just ok. I cant speak to that particular reel, but you will get what you pay for. If you dive occasionally it maybe perfectly fine..I recommend reels by Manta or ones like them, such as the one in the link below. That is the one I own. I do not like the Manta models with the squeeze handles because they have too many parts (are too fancy) for my liking, but many prefer this model, to each his own. The plastic on the spool of this one is super rugged, as is the overall construction.

I have a Manta Jr that has 185 feet of 35# line. Great for a flag or smb.
