And in a 3 knot current, your bag will pop up another 225' away from where the captain is looking. Don't let using the "easy" tools get in the way of doing it right.

In your example a bag popping 225ft in distance away from your point under water on a 330ft dive you would need a line at least 375ft long ... depending on how strong the current maybe a lot more? While I can agree with the sentiment of popping a bag as soon as possible I don't think it is as black as white as you are making it.
