Yeah, as much as I like full face masks, it's definitely an expensive piece of kit. I wasn't paying attention at DEMA 2009, but that price isn't much higher than DEMA special pricing I've seen in years past, but you have to be an industry member and get yourself to DEMA for those discounts. I guess it's just the usual highly specialized gear = high price. Although I spent more on my drysuit and dive computer, so I guess that's not too bad for a mask, second stage and communications equipment. Let me know if you find a better deal on a new setup.
