Why are weights so expensive?

Sometimes on Craigslist or other classifieds. People will list all the other gear but skip over the weights and extra do dads that they view as accessories. I've had decent luck hitting up people with gear for sale and just asking if they have weight.

What is crazy is about half the time they will just give it you, cause they don't see the value and a "bag of weight" is an annoying thing to have around.

I need weights for 3 people so I have thought about that... but I would need a burner and iron melting bowl.
if you want to melt yourself check out tire shops they used to throw the lead away when they peel off of a tire balance when you get new tires

I really enjoyed this post, and find it super amusing that other people find weight so valuable that they overcharge for it… Chuckle chuckle great point enduser
