My surname, Gallo, is Spanish for rooster.

You mean I've been drinking Rooster WIne all of this time??? EEEEEEEWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! (Feeling kinda sheepish)

:tease:

to understand really!

I like "scuba" (otherwise I wouldnt harrass you lot so much) and "baby" for a few reasons:
1) I am probably the (or of the the) youngest of this crowd!
2) I tend to socialise with people older than me, and where I use to live I had a group of friends that use to call me baby (yes, they were male!)
3) If you swap the 1st 2 letters of my name "a" and "b" you end up with the word b-a-b-y ! So I'll always be a baby even when I am 92! :p

You got it. Actually, the Gallo brother's are/were Italian, but it means the same in Italian as it does in Spanish. Next time you imbibe in the G brother's juice, look at the crest. There is a bird in the middle ;-}

Dive Safe,
Rooster

Not only is it Rooster Wine, but every time I upend the bottle they are flippin me a bird??? I guess that's why I like to stick to the New York State wines...

There is one person on the board who SHOULD understand my name, and that is Duca. (Duca, I had yours figured out :D)

Major hint for the rest: the name is an anagram and has to do with motorcyles. (ID, you know the true answer, don't let the cat out of the bag).

..and the red herring is: I live in a German speaking country where "mutti" means "mom". The name could be construed as an impolite "run home to mama", but that is just a bonus :D. My youngest son pinned the name on me many years ago.

Well this started back in 1994ish when I first started with computers. I was just a junior in highschool and had my very own Tandy 8000 computer. It had a monchrome green monitor that was about 13" in size. Well like all beginners to the internet and computers I started visiting IRC channles. I was really into Nine Inch Nails so I started using NINman as my nick. Being 24 now I still like NIN but not nearly as much as I use to. The nick just stuck as I could usally register for a forum and be able to use the name.

Mine just describes me....

I am Puertorrican, (Puerto Rico island in the caribeann)
"Boricua" is how you would call someone from "Boriken" which is the native indian name of the island.
Mojao is short slang for "mojado" which means wet.

So loosely translated, I am "WetPuertorrican"

Well my name came to be way before the internet was really the internet. Back in the days when bulletin boards were popular and live chat was not really heard of except from sysop to user one on one.

The first board I joined had a them of swashbucklers, in order to join you had to make a name and a history and the others voted you in based on how good it was.

So I became SirSyruss the swashbucklers. I made a good story (as you all know I have quite an imagination) and was voted in.

I became a regular on lots of local bulletin boards in the phoenix area while attending devry and knew almost all of the sysops. So when we would do "getogethers" another term for a cool party people called me by the name they knew SirSyruss. Then in the course of time some boards would only let you use 8 characters so I dropped the sir (and no this did not co-incide with my loss of innocence, I am still innocent  )

So Now I am syruss. I have met probably 10,000 or so people on the internet, many during my stint as a operator for the chat channel IRCNEWBIES where I met my wife.

I have a domain by that name also and am easy to find, search for syruss in any search engine and you will find one or more of my sites including http://www.syruss.com

So now you all know how I came to be me....

Even my mom calls me Syruss now.
