Interesting. I see baitballs often in NC on the wrecks but I have not seen any on my 80 or so Florida Keys dives. They are fun to watch but hard to photograph when you are in them.

Yeah, the video is a lot nicer when played from the original file... BEFORE the YouTube conversion process.

Thanks again for diving with me this past weekend, NetDoc! I had a blast!! I had been wanting to get back out to the Benwood -- such a fishy wreck, which I'm all about... I did take along my little SnapShots point and shoot, it gives me footage along the lines of what you see in 1970's Nat Geo's, but it's fun to see nonetheless. Here's a clip I took on the Benwood on Sunday:

Can you believe that music was actually playing down there???

Bait balls are always fantastic and they can be found in different places here in Key Largo. Here's a video I shot on the Speigel Grove this past month:

Hi Pete,

SB's Spree4All Keys wreck trek was a fantastic trip, thanks to you and Elena for organizing it. The four dives my son, Jeff, and I did on the Spiegel Grove were really great. The big bait ball with all the hunters was just one of the mainly highlights. We're looking forward to our next trip with SB on the Spree, I'm hoping for Cuba.

Good diving, Craig

You're welcome my friend. I wish all students were as grateful as you! As it is, I got to watch you improve with every dive and you looked mahvelous down there. Impressive after SAC during the dives as well. I'm glad I got you to slow down! Hopefully you'll get to upgrade to a GoPro with the appropriate filters! :D :D :D Did the video of that cute little juvenile HiHat come out at all? She was pretty tiny!

frankly not my favorite, but a fun, easy, usually current free dive nonetheless(especially last summer with the glass minows on the bow and midships and when blue water(rarely) moves in). the dropoff extending to 90FT a relatively short swim off the bow(approx. compass heading 150) is worthy . from google,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
