Hello.
Any comment on diving in zanzibar, south east coast.
From what I heard most of the diving is on Mnemba Atol, which is NE.
what about SE???
what's the best period?
thnx

There are a couple of dive shops in Paje (SE). They claim to have nice reefs out there, but I have never actually spoken to anybody who dived there, nor dived there myself.
Mnemba - NE; Nungwi/Kendwa - N, NW; Stonetwon (W) is where most diving is done.

thank you
asante sana

Hi, I'm getting ready to post a more detailed overview of my diving in the east coast of africa, long story short, I did not dive NE coast of Zanzibar but it is supposed to be good. Stonetown is only okay. If you have the energy make it to Pemba Island north of Zanz and dive out of Wete. Nice diving, strong currents and a bit deep but good coral, nice napolean wrasses and no one is there. crappy town, however.

Also recommend diving Bazaruto and Tofo in Mozambique, not cheap though, but good.
